Office façade with stainless steel shingles
High quality and a rather broad product portfolio, such as architectural steel constructions, façade structures and specialist staircases, have been the motor behind S. Jaritz Stahlbau & Montage GmbH’s steady growth and success. A new striking head office near Graz was to achieve two things at once: create more space for the workforce and also showcase the key material and qualities the brand is known for, i.e. steel, precision and excellent workmanship. Architect Andreas Lechner fittingly opted for stainless steel shingles in a diamond pattern which were juxtaposed with glass and metal fronts. The strikingly patterned surface accentuates either side of the building gives it a distinctive look that makes an unmistakable connection to the company’s area of expertise.
New study/reading rooms for the University of Wuppertal
Surrounded by university architecture built in the 70s, a new modern cylindrical building is now enriching Wuppertal’s University campus by a new contemporary library space. Designed by Schamp & Schmalöer, an architect’s firm based in Dortmund, the library extension creates around 200 additional spaces for students to study and read. Particularly eye-catching is the structure’s façade. The bottom half is glazed all-round, affording a view across the campus and over Wuppertal itself. The top half of the building features hinged shingles made of pre-coated titanium zinc, arranged in a fish-scale-type manner which pick up the slate façades so typical for this region, known as the Bergische Land [mountain range region].
Kompleks Bangunan Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Brunei
One of the biggest challenges for the team of the BOEHME® SYSTEMS Vertriebs GmbH so far was the government building Kompleks Bangunan Jabatan Perdana Menteri in Darussalam in Brunei. However, in keeping with its motto “Where others stop, we just start“, the company tackled the task and handed over the newly covered elliptical cupola roof to the head of the construction authority in Brunei in March 2012.

Metal facade Car Technology Secondary School Centre in Berlin
Facade redevelopment
Due to grave civil engineering physics and construction defects, the facade cladding of a secondary school in Berlin had to be completely redeveloped - while the school remained open.
Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore, South East Asia
Cinematic aluminium roofing
Can an almost 7,000 m² large roof structure with aluminium roof cover be completed in only eight weeks? The curved arch roofs of a holiday resort in Singapore, probably not – or perhaps yes?
